Nothing like other people's problems to remind you how good your life is.

I spent all week being increasingly nervous about doing the 60+ mile bike ride from Philadelphia to Atlantic City - afraid that I'd wipe out, afraid that I'd finish dead last, afraid that I'd be exhausted and miserable.

Let's talk about sweat, shall we?

Weighed myself this morning. Came in at 241 pounds. Then I went and did some chores at the church, then embarked on a 40 mile bike ride in the June sun. During and after the ride, I consumed ~ 1 gallon of liquids. Then I went to get a shower.

Before the shower, I weighed myself. Came in at 236 pounds.

Including the liquids I drank, that means that I lost 13 pounds of water during my bike ride.

Admittedly, some of that was lost through respiration, but still. That's a lot of sweat.

Inside: More about riding my bike but, fortunately, nothing else about sweating.

Riding and Coding and Not Much More.

My facebook app has been overhauled and is now feature complete - including GPS tracks, although the testing of those has been minimal.

Please give it a look if you have a mind and let me know what you think. Even if you don't use face book you can play with the demo user.

Pepperoni Bread

I've been to a couple of parties where someone brought this bread - kind of like a jelly roll, but stuffed with pepperoni and cheese instead of jelly. Kind of like a calzone, but you ate it cold.

I've been thinking about duplicating it, and here's what I came up with.

Updated the Bicycle Log thing

So now, it works for any user. Once you've added even a single bicycle log entry, every time you log in you'll see your own chart on the front page instead of mine!

Brain Dump

I still have nothing interesting to say about myself, but here's some reviews: of a movie, an event and a restaurant.
